    Es befindet sich im Landesinneren und in trockenen Teilen der Sierra Madre del Sur in Oaxaca. Der gr\u00f6\u00dfte Teil der Produktion des Tobal\u00e1 Mezcal h\u00e4ngt von den Wildpopulationen an den Bergh\u00e4ngen ab und ist eine hoch gesch\u00e4tzte Magie.
